March on Washington

Committees formed, make your plans now

Hotel space close in to downtown Washington, D.C. is pretty well booked up, especially budget-priced accommodations. Space is still available in the suburbs. Many groups have booked blocks of rooms, so if you are a member of a gay, lesbian, bisexual group, social, religious or political, check with them to see if rooms or transportation is available for your trip to the March.

Remember, more than 1 million people are expected for the March on Sunday, April 25. It's a logistical nightmare so plan accordingly.

Northern Ohio has a national representative who coordinates groups' plans for the march. If you are the leader of an organization that wants to sponsor a group trip to the March, you should contact Michael Bole at 631-4743. Note: he is not a travel agent.

Individuals should contact one of the numbers listed under Travel and Accommodations.

If you have chartered busses, please let

Bole know. All busses from Northern Ohio have been assigned parking in the Blue lot at the Pentagon. Bole will help coordinate a group's plans with guidelines set up by the national March on Washington committee.

The national March office faces $800,000 in expenses; all gay and lesbian organizations are being urged to send contributions directly to the office which is at 1012 14th St., NW, Washington, DC 20005. The phone is 202-628-0493.

Cleveland

The Cleveland March on Washington Committee is holding meetings February 22, March 8 and 22, at 6 pm at the Center (1418 W. 29th St). Help is urgently needed to get the word out and to conduct fundraising events. For more information call 522-1999 or 521-6602.

The committee is arranging bus transportation that leaves Cleveland Saturday night and departs Washington for the return trip at

LAWYERS THAT CARE

"Jim Brown and Marcia Margolius handled my claim as if I was the most important client they had. They were not only my lawyers but my friends." G.I.

"Without Marcia Margolius I would have never won my claim for SSI. Now I get some money every month and my medical bills paid." R.P.

"I didn't know that you could get Social Security and Workers' Compensation at the same time until I retained Brown and Margolius. With Comp and Social Security I had coverage for all of my medical bills." B.B.

"When it comes to disability benefits, no one can get you every penny you deserve better than Marcia Margolius and Jim Brown." J.S.

"When Jim Brown won my Workers' Compensation claim all of my medical bills were paid, I was compensated for my time off work and I even received money after I returned to work." LP.

If you or your friends have Social Security or Workers' Compensation questions, have them call the people with the answers.
